Maybe you are already know this, that the emotional can cause the physical. I once had a near drowning experience at camp and since then have had frequent experiences where the fear of not being able to breathe triggers the actual swelling and inflammation in my lungs so they then have difficulty breathing. One time before my dear hubby knew this I was swimming in a lake and he was rowing in a row boat and teasingly started to increase the distance between me and the boat. Sure enough the fear of not being able to catch up and perhaps drown did its trick and my lungs got fully swollen and I couldn’t breathe. Of course he saw my panic and reversed his rowing but it did take the rest of the afternoon for my breathing to normalize. I doubt this information is of any help to you but I just want you to know how deeply I relate to the fear of not breathing and that gives even more context to my pleadings with the Father on Nelson’s behalf.
