Because of a wild June windstorm last night, our area is experiencing long-term lack of internet and power outages. The authorities promised a return to service on Monday, when I hope to be back online with you!
We may not have the internet, but nothing will stop me from daily praying for you all.

Yesterday was Father’s Day. Missing my own father, I was reminded to pray for those who had lost their husbands and fathers this past year. So it was, I was praying for you.
Many were our to electricity after Friday’s storms. A few years ago Verizon came out with a broadband conneciton. Now many of the cell phone companies have this way of connecting to the internet. We don’t have cable or dish, broadband has been just the answer for us. Even when the elecricity is off, broadband works. Without Skype and VZ broadband, staying in touch with our family and friends would be difficult. We are spoiled, I do remember days without computers.

I went to the cemetery yesterday where my dad is and saw families huddled around a gravestone, much like your family does to honor and bring memories from one generation to the next. It made me think of you and how your family was spending this first Father’s Day without Nate. Prayers your way as you hurdle another first.
